What You'll Do
- Drive delivery accountability across multiple engineering teams, proactively managing risks and overcoming obstacles
- Convert strategic priorities and roadmaps into clear, actionable engineering plans with explicit tradeoffs
- Coach, develop, and mentor Engineering Managers and senior engineers to expand capability and autonomy
- Build strong teams through deliberate hiring, talent development, and succession planning initiatives
- Maintain high technical standards by balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term system sustainability and architectural quality
- Collaborate across functions with Product, Design, and Architecture to eliminate dependencies and magnify impact
- Lead Agile/Scrum practices and continuously improve CI/CD automation for faster, safer releases
What You Bring
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in formal management responsibility
- Track record managing multiple engineering teams or serving as a manager of other managers
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or demonstrable equivalent professional background
- Hands-on AWS production operations including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda services
- Demonstrated leadership of Agile and Scrum teams with backlog management and retrospective facilitation
- Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- Preferred: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK), microservices or serverless architectures, DORA metrics, mentoring paths to senior engineering levels, observability tools, and cross-functional product planning
