Senior Project Manager – Digital Communications (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital solutions organization seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Stuttgart. Our client delivers CMS-based communication platforms and websites with meaningful societal impact. This role offers the opportunity to shape digital projects from conception through delivery and ongoing optimization, working at the intersection of technology, communication strategy, design, and content.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex digital implementation projects, maintaining control of scope, budget, quality, and timelines throughout delivery
• Manage CMS-based communication projects, particularly information platforms and websites, including their continued development and operations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams spanning technology, digital communications consulting, creative services, content development, and UX design
• Partner closely with clients to understand requirements and challenges, translating them into concrete project goals and executable solutions
• Identify growth opportunities and new requirements within existing client relationships, developing projects and partnerships alongside subject matter experts
• Contribute project perspective and experience to proposals, RFPs, and competitive pitches
• Navigate multiple stakeholders with confidence, ensuring clarity, accountability, and productive collaboration even in complex project situations

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience managing digital implementation projects, ideally involving websites, information platforms, or other CMS-based solutions
• A proactive mindset that views project management as strategic partnership rather than administrative oversight
• Strong interest in understanding client challenges, recognizing potential, and developing appropriate solutions with cross-functional teams
• Comfort working with both technical teams and creative disciplines including communications, UX, design, and content
• Familiarity with both agile and traditional project methodologies, with the judgment to apply the right approach for each situation (certification is a plus but not required)
• Experience with public sector or public-adjacent industry projects is advantageous
• Completed university degree or equivalent practical qualification
• Excellent German language skills, both written and verbal, for stakeholder communication
• Experience in presales, business development, RFP responses, or proposal creation is beneficial but not mandatory
