Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization seeking a PhD Graduate AI & Algorithms Engineer for a 2026 start. In this role, you will join a talented engineering and research team working on diverse client projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building intelligent systems through hands-on coding, model training, and testing
• Developing software engineering skills within mixed-discipline agile teams, participating in stand-ups and sprint planning
• Contributing to internal research and development programs that advance state-of-the-art solutions
• Supporting client projects that address complex real-world challenges
• Communicating technical results and findings to colleagues and stakeholders

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a candidate with strong academic credentials and a PhD (completing in 2025/2026) in a relevant technical discipline such as AI/machine learning, computer science, mathematics, physics, or theoretical physics.

Essential qualifications:

• PhD in AI, machine learning, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related field
• Strong Python programming skills and understanding of modern software development practices
• Demonstrated research experience in data-driven fields (project work, conference proceedings, or published papers)
• Genuine interest in applying AI and algorithmic techniques to practical problems
• Eligibility for UK Security Check level clearance and ability to work in the UK without restrictions
