Director Controlling & Risk (m/w/d) – München

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential corporate group in Munich that is seeking a Director of Controlling & Risk to lead a critical function at the intersection of financial control, risk management, and strategic business steering.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and develop the Controlling & Risk team, building structures that support growth and excellence
• Drive planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, translating financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership
• Own performance reviews and serve as a critical sparring partner for investment decisions and strategic initiatives
• Further develop the organization's risk management framework and internal control systems
• Champion change management initiatives and advance digitalization and automation of controlling processes across the enterprise
• Provide direct advisory support to the Management Board on performance, investments, and risk exposure

What We're Looking For

• Several years of leadership experience in controlling, with strong expertise in planning, forecasting, and management reporting
• Solid practical experience in risk management and internal control systems
• Proven track record of implementing change initiatives across organizational boundaries
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA
• Ability to distill and communicate complex financial matters clearly to diverse stakeholders
• Fluency in German is required for this Munich-based position
