Workplace and People Operations Manager

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential AI technology company based in Berlin. They are building cutting-edge conversational AI solutions for enterprise clients and are looking for a Workplace and People Operations Manager to own their office environment and internal culture.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on creating smooth, well-organized workplace experiences while the company scales. You'll manage everything from office operations to employee lifecycle processes, using automation and smart tools to build systems that scale.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations for the Berlin office, including supplies, equipment, and workspace organization
• Drive culture initiatives that keep the team connected and engaged as the organization grows
• Own the complete employee lifecycle from onboarding (ensuring new hires have desk, hardware, and access ready) through offboarding
• Build and implement automations around workplace and people operations using AI tools and no-code platforms
• Manage ordering, inventory, and internal requests efficiently
• Jump in wherever support is needed across the organization

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience in workplace, office, or people operations, ideally at a startup
• Hands-on approach and willingness to handle unglamorous but essential work
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Process-oriented mindset focused on building scalable systems rather than one-off solutions
• Curiosity about tools and automation with ability to learn new platforms quickly
• High ownership mentality; comfortable working without detailed instructions
• Fluency in both English and German (written and spoken)
• Natural host mentality with passion for creating great experiences
• Comfort with office-based work (this role requires regular on-site presence in Berlin)
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
