Product Engineer (m/w/d)

About This Role

We are representing a confidential real estate management organization based in München that is building modern software to transform how property administration works in Germany. This is an opportunity to join as one of the first product engineers on a greenfield platform that combines customer portals, AI agents, and internal management tools—all built in-house to solve real operational challenges.

You will own features end-to-end, working across the full stack in TypeScript and collaborating directly with the users of what you build. This is a rare chance to work in an industry that has been overlooked by modern software, where the gap between what exists and what's possible is enormous.

Responsibilities

• Develop full-stack features in TypeScript, from customer-facing portals to internal management interfaces and backend services
• Own features from concept through design to production release, including UI work when needed
• Build AI-powered functionality for end users and internal teams
• Work within a modern development environment using current AI tooling and workflows
• Gather feedback directly from colleagues and customers, prioritize problems, and ship solutions in regular cycles
• Contribute across the entire stack: React and Next.js on the frontend, Node.js backend, Postgres databases, event-driven processes, and infrastructure as code on Google Cloud

What We're Looking For

• 2–4 years of professional web development experience
• Strong working knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript, ideally with React or Next.js
• A recent project you can show us—production code, side project, or open source contribution
• Comfort working across frontend and backend with equal interest in both
• Ability to own features end-to-end and create solid interfaces without a dedicated designer when necessary
• Active use of AI tooling in your daily work, with a critical eye toward validating results
• Basic understanding of SQL databases and API design
• A desire to understand why something should be built before you build it
• German language skills at B2 level or higher
