Azure Infrastructure Engineer (m/w/d) in Frankfurt

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential financial services organization in Frankfurt seeking an Azure Infrastructure Engineer to lead the transformation of their IT environment. You will be responsible for building, operating, and continuously developing their Microsoft cloud infrastructure while ensuring stability, security, and high availability across the Azure platform.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Planning, operating, and optimizing the entire Azure platform
• Managing and advancing M365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint
• Implementing security policies, Identity Protection, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Defender
• Administering identities, roles, groups, and authentication processes
• Developing PowerShell scripts and automating administrative processes
• Monitoring the Azure environment, analyzing performance metrics, and capacity planning
• Contributing to cloud projects and supporting IT leadership on architecture, infrastructure, and security topics

This is a full-time position based in Frankfurt with a hybrid working model available after your onboarding period.

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking someone with:

• Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (system integration) or comparable degree
• Several years of professional experience in Microsoft cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, and SC-300 preferred)
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID
• Strong knowledge of PowerShell and Terraform
• Very good German language skills at B2 level for smooth internal and external communication
• Independent working style with high service and solution orientation
• Team-oriented approach with structured, analytical thinking
• Strong quality awareness and willingness to learn new technologies
• Excellent communication skills and sense of responsibility
