Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential veterinary organization in Ayrshire, Scotland. We're searching for a Director of Practice to lead a multi-site equine practice group serving the west coast of Scotland.

This is a strategic leadership position overseeing operational, commercial, and people performance across multiple locations. You'll work closely with clinical leadership to drive excellence in patient care, client experience, and business results while shaping team culture and supporting sustainable growth.

The practice group offers first opinion and referral services, ambulatory care, integrated out-of-hours coverage, and specialist-led surgical services supported by advanced practitioners and qualified veterinary nurses.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational, commercial, and financial performance across multiple veterinary practice locations in partnership with Clinical Directors
• Drive business growth through strategic planning, continuous improvement initiatives, and effective budget management
• Build and develop high-performing, multidisciplinary teams through coaching, leadership, and resource management
• Ensure exceptional clinical standards, regulatory compliance, and outstanding client and patient care delivery
• Champion safe, compliant, collaborative working environments while implementing organizational goals and best practices
• Travel across all practice sites as required

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in senior leadership roles with accountability for operational and commercial performance
• Strong financial and business management capability, including P&L oversight and strategic planning experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead, engage, and develop high-performing multidisciplinary teams
• Experience leading organizational change and driving cultural or transformational initiatives
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
• Veterinary industry experience strongly preferred

Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with travel across sites as needed.

Our client offers a competitive package for this senior leadership role.
