Product Builder (UI/UX Designer & Mobile App Developer) – (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing an early-stage healthtech startup in Hamburg that is building an AI-powered companion product. Our client works with real users and established partners, and they need a Product Builder who can own the entire journey from user problem to shipped feature.

This is a hands-on role combining UI/UX design with mobile development. You'll work directly with the founders, make real product decisions, and see your work used immediately by people who need it. The company operates AI-first with short decision paths and significant creative freedom.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve mobile applications for iOS and Android from concept to release
• Own features end-to-end: understand user problems, design solutions, build and ship them
• Create UI/UX designs and prototypes in Figma, test rapidly, and iterate based on findings
• Make product decisions alongside founders and translate ideas into working features
• Leverage AI tools (Claude Code, Figma AI, and others) to accelerate development and iteration
• Analyze user feedback and translate it directly into product improvements
• Handle testing and QA to ensure high product quality
• Identify and fix bugs and UX issues independently
• Continuously improve technical architecture and development processes
• Experiment with new technologies and integrate them meaningfully

Important: This is not a ticket-execution role. You'll guide features from problem definition through design and technical implementation with genuine ownership.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in app or frontend development, ideally in mobile
• Strong understanding of modern iOS and Android development
• Ability to build features independently from scratch through to release
• Excellent instinct for UI/UX and product design
• Experience with Figma, ideally including Figma AI
• Deep experience with Claude Code or comparable AI coding tools
• Strong product mindset: you think in users, problems, and solutions, not just code
• High degree of personal responsibility, learning agility, and ownership
• Confident with testing and QA practices
• Ability to learn new technologies and problem domains quickly and independently
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented working style and enjoyment in taking initiative
• Very good to excellent German language skills in speaking and writing, as language is central to the product
