About This Role

We are representing a confidential aviation organization based in Frankfurt am Main that specializes in aircraft cabin systems, technical maintenance, and aviation support services. They work with international airline customers on complex maintenance and MRO projects, and they need a Field Service Mechanic with Certifying Staff authorization to join their technical quality team.

This is a hands-on role combining technical maintenance work with release authority and quality responsibility. You'll work on aircraft cabin systems, conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and make critical sign-off decisions that ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work on aircraft cabin systems and components in workshops and on aircraft
• Diagnose faults and damage, then initiate appropriate repair or replacement measures
• Conduct quality inspections on cabin components and issue technical releases within your authorization scope
• Support maintenance projects in Germany and occasionally at international locations
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, customer, and international project teams
• Maintain thorough technical documentation ensuring all decisions are traceable and compliant
• Work flexibly including shift patterns, weekend availability, and travel as projects require

What We're Looking For

• Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic (Fluggerätmechaniker:in) or comparable technical/trade qualification with several years of aviation experience
• Proven experience in aircraft maintenance, cabin maintenance, MRO, Part-145 environments, or similar regulated technical work
• Demonstrated Certifying Staff, release authority, or equivalent authorization experience (specific scope will be clarified during the process)
• High willingness to travel and work shifts/weekends as project demands require
• Valid driver's license
• Strong English language skills for international coordination and technical documentation
• Strong sense of responsibility, regulatory compliance mindset, and ability to work precisely under time pressure
• Excellent technical documentation skills and attention to detail
