Senior Legal Counsel (m/w/d) – Perspektive General Counsel

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential mobility-tech organization seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to step into an established legal function reporting directly to the Chairman. This role comes with a clear path to General Counsel within 18 months for the right candidate.

You will take ownership of existing legal structures and processes through a structured handover, serving as the central legal point of contact for executive leadership and business units as the company continues its growth and international expansion.

• Provide comprehensive legal advice to executive leadership and business units across corporate law, commercial contracts, competition law, civil law, and employment law
• Draft, review, and negotiate domestic and international contracts in German and English; manage contract portfolio
• Support corporate matters including financing rounds, transactions, due diligence processes, and changes to group structure
• Prepare and support board and shareholder activities
• Provide legal support to international subsidiaries and market entry initiatives
• Own terms of service, user agreements, and legal frameworks for app, web, and digital products
• Manage data protection compliance and handle trademark, copyright, and IP matters
• Support payment products and business models in collaboration with banks, payment service providers, and regulated partners
• Assess legal and regulatory requirements for new products, business models, and markets
• Advise leadership on employment law matters in close cooperation with HR
• Manage disputes and select, engage, and oversee external law firms
• Continuously develop legal processes, contract standards, and internal governance structures

What We're Looking For

• Volljurist:in (fully qualified German lawyer) with several years of relevant experience in-house and/or at a commercial law firm
• Broad generalist legal background with strong understanding of business and commercial contexts
• Proven experience independently drafting and negotiating complex contracts
• Ability to clearly assess legal risks while developing pragmatic, business-oriented solutions
• High degree of autonomy, accountability, and commitment to seeing matters through to completion
• Confident presence when engaging with executive leadership, shareholders, business partners, and external advisors
• Excellent German and English language skills, written and spoken; additional languages welcome
• Strong knowledge of data protection law
• Ideally, experience in payment, fintech, mobility, platform, or technology-driven environments
• Interest in developing an existing legal function and taking on General Counsel responsibility
