We are representing a confidential fusion energy organization in Munich that is advancing next-generation power infrastructure. Our client is building Europe's most ambitious stellarator programme, and they need a versatile Project Manager to take ownership of critical cross-programme initiatives. Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery for assigned projects across multiple workstreams—managing schedules, budgets, risk registers, and stakeholder communication from early definition through completion
• Take ownership of projects at varying stages of maturity, applying appropriate structure whether shaping an early concept or driving active delivery programmes
• Manage work across infrastructure and manufacturing-interface domains as the programme landscape evolves
• Support early planning work for future facilities—infrastructure, site requirements, and programme coordination
• Feed project schedules and risk inputs into the integrated master schedule; coordinate with programme management to ensure accurate baseline reflection
• Identify and manage dependencies between assigned projects and the broader programme; escalate interface risks proactively
• Build processes, plans, and accountability structures where they don't yet exist
• Ensure increased programme activity translates to delivered outcomes rather than growing backlog

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in project management on capital, industrial, or research infrastructure projects—comfortable owning delivery across different project types and maturity stages
• Adaptability: equally effective shaping early-stage concepts and driving active delivery programmes; you adjust your approach to what each project needs
• Comfort with evolving portfolios—new projects will be assigned, priorities will shift, scope will change; you remain effective through ambiguity
• Ability to engage across infrastructure and manufacturing-interface domains without deep specialism in either—delivery rigour and stakeholder management are your core strengths
• Fluent English; German is a strong advantage
• Familiarity with AI tools and digital working methods; comfortable in lean, high-autonomy environments
• Background in capital project delivery in energy, industrial, or research sectors is strongly preferred
• Experience with first-of-kind or early-stage programmes is a plus
