Functional Consultant & Project Manager

We are representing a fast-growing SaaS organization that specializes in intelligent process automation for finance and operations teams. Our client serves a global customer base of enterprise organizations, delivering significant productivity improvements through their advanced automation platform. This is an excellent opportunity to work at the intersection of business consulting and technology implementation.

We are seeking a Functional Consultant & Project Manager to join their expanding team in Germany. This role offers full ownership of implementation projects, close collaboration with engineering teams, and the chance to make measurable impact with enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation projects for ERP automation solutions, from initial requirements gathering through delivery and continuous improvement
• Design scalable, tailored solutions that align with customer workflows and business objectives
• Collaborate with engineering teams to address technical challenges and ensure successful system integration
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, anticipating needs and ensuring they realize the full value of automation initiatives
• Partner with sales teams to design implementation plans and drive product adoption
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction
• Translate customer feedback into actionable product improvement recommendations
• Present solutions and progress updates to client stakeholders with confidence

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of experience in consulting, technical implementation, process automation, or project management
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Fluent in German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Demonstrated ownership mentality and ability to work autonomously
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to adapt when information is incomplete or priorities shift

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with ERP environments or AI-driven SaaS solutions
• Hands-on experience with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) or Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes
• Customer-first approach with focus on business outcomes and user value

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time position based remotely or hybrid in Germany or Austria. Following onboarding at the client's headquarters in central Zurich, you will work remotely with monthly visits to Zurich (financially supported). Strong team collaboration is encouraged.
