About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential AI technology company in their search for a Sales Development Lead based in London. Our client is experiencing rapid growth and needs an experienced leader to scale their European SDR function during an exciting expansion phase.
This is a player-coach role where you'll build, coach, and optimize a high-performing sales development team. You'll establish scalable processes, drive pipeline generation, and work closely with account executives to fuel ambitious growth targets in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a growing team of Sales Development Representatives across Europe
- Design and implement scalable processes for outbound prospecting, qualification, and handoff to account executives
- Build comprehensive onboarding, enablement, and coaching frameworks for team success
- Collaborate with account executives and sales leadership to align on pipeline targets and performance metrics
- Leverage data and modern sales tools to continuously optimize outreach strategies and conversion rates
- Support go-to-market experimentation as the company expands across customer segments and geographies
- Cultivate a team culture focused on curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in sales or business development roles
- 1–2+ years in a management or team lead capacity, ideally leading SDR or BDR teams
- Proven track record building or scaling high-performing sales development teams in fast-growing technology environments
- Deep understanding of outbound prospecting methodologies, particularly when targeting technical and enterprise personas
- Proficiency with sales metrics, CRM platforms, reporting tools, and modern outreach technologies
- Excellent coaching and communication abilities—you're energized by developing talent
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, high-velocity environments
- Genuine passion for technology, innovation, and artificial intelligence
Bonus qualifications: Experience in early-stage or growth-stage startup environments; exposure to AI platforms, developer tools, or creative technology; experience managing globally distributed teams.
