Deal Lead, Corporate Development

About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential fintech platform in their search for a Deal Lead to join their Corporate Development function. This organisation operates globally and has established itself as a trusted name in digital finance over more than a decade of operations.

As Deal Lead, you'll take ownership of M&A transactions that support strategic growth objectives. You'll lead negotiations with target companies, coordinate due diligence across multiple departments, assess deal risks, and shepherd transactions through to completion. This role demands strong financial modeling expertise, deep M&A process knowledge, and the ability to manage several high-stakes initiatives simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Shape M&A and venture strategy by identifying and evaluating high-value opportunities
• Lead the complete deal lifecycle from initial diligence through closing
• Develop clear, concise deal memos that articulate value drivers and build consensus across leadership
• Oversee creation of pro forma financial models and comprehensive valuation analyses
• Coordinate due diligence processes with cross-functional teams including Legal, Finance, Product, and Engineering
• Maintain an active network within cryptocurrency and financial services to monitor market trends
• Drive improvements to Corporate Development processes and mentor team members
• Support venture investment initiatives and provide strategic recommendations

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of Corporate Development experience at a high-growth fintech company or investment bank
• Proven ability to build pro forma financial models and conduct valuation analyses (DCF, comparable multiples, accretion/dilution)
• Deep familiarity with M&A processes, including legal considerations and integration planning
• Experience with venture investments preferred
• Strong consensus-building skills and ability to coordinate diverse stakeholder groups
• Understanding of global regulatory frameworks around cryptocurrency and financial services
• Knowledge of or demonstrated curiosity about the cryptocurrency industry
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Technical background or strong understanding of software and internet products
• Established network in cryptocurrency or traditional financial services markets
