Senior Product Manager – Marketplace

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential B2B technology company in the construction sector. They're building AI-powered marketplace solutions that connect service providers with project opportunities at scale. We're seeking a Senior Product Manager to own marketplace dynamics and drive matching, search, and recommendation systems that balance supply and demand across thousands of users.

This is a high-impact role in a small, focused team where your decisions will directly shape product direction and user experience. You'll work at the intersection of marketplace strategy, data analysis, and AI implementation.

Responsibilities

• Own marketplace dynamics between supply-side and demand-side participants on the platform
• Ensure healthy balance between supply and demand, building mechanisms that maintain strong liquidity on both sides
• Design and optimize search, matching, and recommendation systems that increase relevance and engagement rates
• Analyze marketplace metrics and translate insights into clear hypotheses and product priorities
• Identify and implement AI use cases for matching and recommendations, collaborating closely with designers and engineering teams
• Monitor key marketplace performance indicators including liquidity, conversion rates, and network effects

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of product management experience specifically with two-sided or multi-sided marketplaces
• Proven track record managing supply-demand dynamics: creating sufficient supply and demand while balancing sometimes conflicting interests of both sides
• Experience with search or matching algorithms, or direct collaboration with data and engineering teams on ranking or recommendation logic
• Strong analytical capabilities with solid understanding of marketplace metrics such as liquidity, conversion, and network effects
• Routine use of AI tools including LLM-based assistants, MCPs, and no-code prototyping in daily workflows
• Fluent in both written and spoken German and English
