Chief of Staff (All Genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential sports technology organization that is building digital solutions for grassroots football communities. They are seeking a Chief of Staff to work directly with the founder on strategic company-building initiatives.

This is a hands-on leadership role based in Cologne, Germany, requiring on-site presence at least twice weekly. You'll own cross-functional projects end-to-end while building the operational foundation for a fast-growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Own selected strategic and operational projects from concept through execution to measurable outcomes
• Build and continuously improve core company processes that enable scalable growth
• Work closely with the founder on cross-functional strategic priorities
• Bring together different teams and perspectives to drive clarity on key initiatives
• Support process optimization across operational areas as needed
• Prepare decision-making materials and strategic analyses for leadership

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5–8 years of experience in strategy and operations roles
• Fluent in both German and English
• Strong ability to think in processes and structures, bringing clarity to complex situations
• Proven track record independently driving projects from idea to execution in fast-paced environments
• Proficiency with Notion, project management tools, Google Workspace, and Slack
• Genuine interest in amateur football and community sports
• Comfort with hands-on execution, not just strategic planning
• Ability to work on-site in Cologne at least twice weekly

Bonus experience:

• Background in high-growth startup environments
• Early-stage experience building people and organizational processes
