We are representing a confidential preventative healthcare organization that is transforming how clinical diagnostics support patient care. Our client operates modern laboratories in central London that deliver rapid, accurate results as part of comprehensive health screening services.

This is a hands-on Biomedical Scientist position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment. You'll work autonomously on-site, operating advanced laboratory analyzers and contributing to quality systems that enable exceptional turnaround times.

Responsibilities

• Initialize and prepare laboratory analyzers daily for sample processing
• Perform testing on biochemistry, immunoassay, and hematology analyzers, validating patient results and escalating clinically significant findings
• Execute daily calibration, internal quality control, and routine maintenance of analyzers; troubleshoot and escalate technical issues
• Work within an ISO 15189-aligned, UKAS-facing quality management system
• Author and update SOPs, monitor external quality assurance performance, support audits, and investigate non-conformances
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives including analyzer verification, reagent evaluation, and software testing
• Maintain accurate, auditable records and monitor performance across turnaround times, KPIs, and consumables
• Provide technical guidance to clinical colleagues and support training initiatives

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

• HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist with evidence of ongoing CPD
• Minimum one year of post-registration experience in clinical chemistry and immunoassay, including IQC and EQA practice
• Demonstrable experience operating an integrated clinical chemistry and immunoassay analyzer
• Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently under time pressure in a fast-turnaround service model

Preferred Qualifications:

• Post-registration experience in hematology
• Hands-on experience with advanced hematology and biochemistry analyzer platforms
• Experience in point-of-care testing, rapid diagnostics, or high-throughput clinical settings
• Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS), digital result reporting, or LIMS development and testing
