About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing German e-commerce organization in the home and living sector. Our client operates their own brands across kitchen, household, and interior products, selling in over 80 countries through online channels and major marketplaces. They control the entire vertical value chain—from design and development through production, distribution, and customer service.

As Product Designer / Industrial Designer, you'll own the creative vision for consumer products from initial sketch to production release. Because our client develops and manufactures in-house, your designs reach households worldwide within months, not years. This is a rare opportunity to see your work come to life at scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative product designs for home and living categories, guiding concepts from initial ideation through detailed 3D modeling to final production-ready prototypes
• Create detailed 3D models in CAD software (preferably Blender) and produce photorealistic renderings; integrate AI tools into your workflow for concept variants, mood boards, and visualizations
• Sketch ideas quickly by hand and independently illustrate decorative patterns, developing them into print-ready files for manufacturers
• Prepare briefing documents and technical specifications including technical drawings; define finishes, glazes, color palettes, and surface treatments
• Consider materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances, and target costs from day one—including packaging dimensions and online shipping requirements—in close coordination with product management and sourcing teams
• Conduct design and trend research, creating vision mood boards and continuously monitoring trends, material innovations, and competitors
• Nice to have: Design 2D packaging based on dielines from production partners, creating print-ready artwork
• Nice to have: Support brand communication and take on tasks in graphic design, brand strategy, and photography

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or comparable program; initial professional experience preferred, ideally in consumer goods or interior design
• Proficient with CAD software, preferably Blender, Rhino, or Cinema 4D, with ability to create photorealistic renderings or AI-generated images
• Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• High level of creativity, excellent eye for aesthetics, and strong intuition for trends in home, living, and interior categories that resonate with target audiences
• Good understanding of materials such as ceramic, porcelain, glass, metal, or wood and their manufacturing processes—or curiosity to learn quickly
• Structured, independent working style with high self-motivation and hands-on mentality
• Very good German and English language skills, written and spoken
