About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential research computing organization in their search for an AI Education Expert to join a European AI initiative focused on advanced computing infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to shape educational programs that bridge academic research and industrial AI adoption, working within an international team at the forefront of AI training and talent development.

Based in Garching bei München, this position combines instructional design, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on AI expertise to deliver training programs primarily targeting manufacturing and engineering sectors across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Develop and plan a comprehensive portfolio of AI education and training offerings for diverse user groups
• Design and organize educational events, training series, and workshops in collaboration with internal and external trainers
• Analyze training requirements and needs of target audiences, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises and startups
• Deliver educational content and consultancy to support AI adoption in manufacturing and engineering sectors
• Foster relationships with collaboration partners and stakeholders across the European AI ecosystem
• Support AI talent development initiatives through training program delivery and educational consulting
• Maintain partnerships with technology providers, system developers, and educational organizations
• Collaborate on novel AI projects with national and European partners from private and academic sectors

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• PhD or Master's degree in computer science, data science, or scientific computing disciplines
• Minimum 2 years of applied data analytics and machine learning/AI experience in research or enterprise environments
• Demonstrated experience designing, organizing, and conducting training events and series
• Extensive knowledge of Machine Learning/AI applications, frameworks, methods and models (Python, PyTorch, JAX, etc.)
• Proficiency working in Linux-based environments
• Excellent English presentation and writing skills; German proficiency strongly preferred
• Willingness to stay current with emerging AI technologies and methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Git-based version control systems (GitLab, GitHub)
• Customer relationship management experience
• Experience working with or at startups and small to medium-sized enterprises

Position Details

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week); part-time arrangements possible

Location: Garching bei München, Germany

Work Model: Up to 60% remote work for suitable tasks

Contract Duration: Through Q1 2028, with intention for continued employment

Pay
