ANALYTICS ENGINEER*IN (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential media and events organization based in Hamburg. This Analytics Engineer role sits within a central data team that serves as the center of excellence for data-driven decision making across multiple business units including festivals, podcasting, reviews, education, and job platforms.

You will take ownership of critical data models and drive real business impact:

• Own and develop ticketing and event data models in dbt, including staging layers, reporting models, and semantic layers
• Build reliable ticket forecasting models based on historical sales data, pricing structures, and event categories to support sales planning
• Take responsibility for finance data models and develop working capital reporting that provides transparency into receivables, payables, and cash flow
• Develop cross-channel attribution models spanning all marketing channels (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok) to make marketing ROI visible and actionable
• Handle ad-hoc requests from business stakeholders independently, from analysis through data export to dashboard adjustments
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Events teams, translating their requirements into scalable data models

What We're Looking For

• 1-2 years of professional experience in analytics or business intelligence, with hands-on experience developing and maintaining data models independently
• Strong SQL skills with ideally experience using dbt and BigQuery or comparable cloud data warehouses
• Analytical mindset with the ability to quickly understand existing data models, recognize relationships, and develop them in a structured manner
• Self-starter who takes ownership of projects and handles stakeholder requests without close supervision
• Fluent German language skills (both written and spoken) and good English proficiency
• Ideally brings Python knowledge, statistical fundamentals and forecasting experience (such as time series analysis), or experience with marketing data (ads platforms, UTM tracking, attribution modeling)
