About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential international organization with a modern IT landscape spanning multiple locations. To support reliable global collaboration, our client is continuously expanding and modernizing their network and infrastructure environment.

We are seeking a Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join their German operations team in Hamburg. This is a hands-on technical role where you will operate, develop, and set technical standards for critical IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Operate and evolve network infrastructure across German locations
• Administer firewalls, VPN connections, switching, routing, and VLAN environments
• Analyze and resolve complex network and infrastructure issues as part of 2nd and 3rd level support
• Ensure availability, performance, and security of the network landscape
• Manage core infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, and certificate management
• Plan and deliver infrastructure and network projects such as site connectivity, migrations, and system implementations
• Collaborate with external service providers and ensure compliance with defined standards and SLAs
• Document the environment and continuously improve operational processes

What We're Looking For

• Completed IT-focused vocational training or equivalent qualification
• 5+ years of IT professional experience operating IT infrastructure with a focus on networking
• Very good German and good English language skills
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLAN, VPN, and firewall technologies
• Experience with network monitoring and analyzing complex incidents
• Good working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Windows Server, and Active Directory structures
• Experience with hybrid IT infrastructures and virtualized environments (ideally VMware)
• Knowledge of modern IT security concepts
• Structured, solution-oriented working style combined with proactivity and team spirit
