About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential geopolitical research and advisory organization seeking a Senior Analyst, MENA (Geoeconomics of GCC region) to join their team in the United Arab Emirates. This role focuses on delivering insights and analysis of economic projects and transformational initiatives within the Gulf Cooperation Council region, with emphasis on Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar.

The ideal candidate will explore national visions within investment, regulatory, and business frameworks, excelling in both research and client engagement while conveying complex analyses effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on economic and political developments in the Arab Gulf, with a focus on long-term investment projects and transformations
• Provide insights on regulatory changes and business framework advancements that influence investment priorities in the GCC region
• Produce well-structured analytical reports and thought leadership pieces, translating complex information into accessible insights for clients
• Engage directly with clients, understanding their needs, offering tailored advice, and developing meaningful relationships to support business development efforts
• Collaborate with the broader team to ensure integration of regional insights into global political risk analysis and client solutions
• Support business development activities by identifying opportunities and facilitating client interactions

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of relevant experience in research and analysis focusing on the MENA region, particularly the GCC countries
• Strong writing skills and ability to effectively communicate complex ideas in both written and verbal formats
• Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills, with demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
• Currently located in the region (UAE or Saudi Arabia preferred), given the importance of on-the-ground insight and understanding
• Advanced degree in political science, economics, international relations, or related field preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines
• Fluency in English and Arabic required
