Sr. UI/UX Designer

About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential AI technology organization in their search for a Senior UI/UX Designer based in Colombia. This is a remote, full-time position where you'll own product design for a critical area, bridging user needs with business outcomes while leveraging AI as a core part of your design process.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design for a product area, partnering with product and engineering teams on roadmap goals and technical constraints
• Transform concepts into clickable prototypes rapidly, using them to drive product decisions rather than relying on presentation decks
• Conduct research and usability testing, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders and decision-makers
• Monitor post-release performance metrics and iterate based on real-world usage data
• Maintain and evolve the design system to ensure consistent, accessible output from both designers and AI tools
• Share AI workflows, prompt libraries, and lessons learned to elevate team capabilities
• Maintain quality standards across all deliverables, reviewing all work whether AI-assisted or manually created

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of UX/UI design experience with a portfolio demonstrating shipped products
• Proven use of AI tools in production design work, with concrete examples of impact
• Fluency in English with ability to articulate and defend design decisions to non-designers

Core Competencies:

AI Design Fluency:

• Expert proficiency with AI design and prototyping tools such as Figma Make, Claude, Cursor, v0, or Lovable
• Ability to move from rough concept to working prototype within hours by effectively directing AI tools
• Skill in crafting prompts like design briefs, providing necessary context, constraints, and system rules
• Integration of AI across the full process including research synthesis, UX copy, edge cases, accessibility, and QA
• Judgment to distinguish fast AI output from quality output, knowing when manual work is superior

AI Product Design:

• Experience designing for non-deterministic systems that handle uncertainty, errors, and partial results while maintaining user trust
• Understanding of model and agent behavior sufficient to set realistic expectations and position human review appropriately
• Ability to design agentic and assisted workflows beyond conversational interfaces

Product & Business Thinking:

• Deep understanding of product economics, target users, success metrics, and constraints
• Ability to balance desirability, feasibility, and viability in design decisions
• Skill in framing design rationale using business metrics like conversion, retention, and time to market

Design Fundamentals:

• Strong visual and interaction design craft in Figma, with ability to manage and extend design systems
• Research and testing skills that drive actionable decisions
• Code literacy sufficient to read and modify components and direct AI coding tools
• Independence in scoping, prioritizing, and delivering complete design solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in design, computer science, information technology, or related field
• Production front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, SASS, or React
• Experience building prompt libraries or reusable AI workflows for teams
