About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization that operates across multiple online marketplaces. They need a commercially minded merchant to own a defined category block—starting with a high-volume commodity vertical—and run it like a true P&L owner. This is a judgment and execution role, not catalog maintenance or passive monitoring.

You will make daily pricing, inventory, and advertising decisions that protect both rank and margin, work cross-functionally with forecasting and sourcing, and scale winning SKUs across additional channels including Walmart and Shopify.

Responsibilities

• Own category P&L metrics: in-stock rate, contribution margin, total advertising cost of sale (TACOS), and category profit
• Monitor top SKUs daily for competitor pricing, deals, stock positions, Buy Box status, and listing health
• Make pricing decisions within a defined rule set, including managing low-stock scenarios by adjusting price or ad spend to protect rank
• Ensure in-stock discipline on proven winners by collaborating with forecasting and sourcing teams
• Maintain and optimize listing quality: titles, images, enhanced content, variations, and pack configurations
• Execute liquidation decisions on end-of-life and slow-moving inventory
• Expand category winners to additional marketplaces including Walmart, Shopify, and international channels
• Build and refine SOPs, decision trees, and checklists to make the role scalable and repeatable

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years running an Amazon Seller Central account, ideally with category or P&L ownership
• Deep fluency in Amazon fees, FBA economics, Buy Box dynamics, and pricing; able to calculate SKU-level contribution margin quickly
• Strong commercial judgment and ownership mentality; you decide and own outcomes rather than waiting for direction
• Proficiency with Helium 10 or similar tools, Seller Central reporting, and spreadsheets
• Excellent written English and proactive remote communication, including early escalation of blockers
• Demonstrated ability to build and improve SOPs, checklists, and decision frameworks
• Single full-time commitment with no conflicting clients or roles
• Walmart Marketplace experience strongly preferred; Shopify or Canada marketplace experience a plus
• Bonus: background in home, hardware, electrical, or commodity consumable categories
