Business Travel Consultant (Germany-Remote)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential travel technology client seeking an experienced Business Travel Consultant to join their remote team in Germany. This role puts you at the heart of customer success, supporting corporate travelers through their journey and ensuring seamless booking experiences across multiple channels.

As a key member of the global operations team, you'll leverage your GDS expertise and deep travel industry knowledge to solve complex itineraries, manage bookings, and deliver exceptional service. You'll also have the unique opportunity to provide feedback that directly shapes product development and platform improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class travel support to business travelers via chat, call, and email channels
• Process and manage hotel, flight, car, and rail bookings with accuracy and efficiency
• Utilize advanced GDS skills for ticketing, reissues, voids, cancellations, EMD/MCO issuance, and PNR management
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of supplier content, destinations, and booking systems
• Analyze customer needs quickly and prioritize based on urgency and traveler profile
• Guide users through self-service platform features where appropriate
• Meet or exceed SLA expectations and individual performance metrics
• Follow travel and expense policies, ensuring compliance with global regulations
• Collaborate with internal teams and provide regular feedback on processes and product performance
• Stay current on product launches, supplier updates, and industry changes through team meetings and training

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years managing bookings for corporate and leisure clients in a core business travel environment
• 3+ years of demonstrated advanced Sabre or Amadeus GDS experience (mandatory)
• Deep expertise in ticketing, reissues, voids, cancellations, EMD and MCO issuance/reissuance, and PNR management
• Experience with local market supplier content and booking practices in both ARC and BSP markets
• In-depth knowledge of complex itineraries, air fares, and fare construction calculations including nett fares, IT fares, route deals, and corporate negotiated fares (Fares & Ticketing VAII, formally BA2)
• Experience with NDC, low-cost carriers, and third-party content aggregators is a plus
• Full understanding of travel industry regulations and worldwide compliance requirements
• Fluency in German is mandatory
• Proficiency in both verbal and written English; additional languages are a bonus
• Excellent communication skills and customer-focused mindset
