(Junior) SEO & AI Marketing Manager (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential renewable energy technology company in their search for a (Junior) SEO & AI Marketing Manager to join their Berlin-based team. Our client is building intelligent energy solutions at scale, and they need someone who approaches modern SEO as a dynamic ecosystem powered by automation and AI.

In this role, you'll serve as the critical link between strategy, technology, and content. You'll ensure website hygiene while steering international teams with precise briefings. This is a hybrid position based in Berlin.

Responsibilities

• Optimize content for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) to maximize presence in AI-powered search results (ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.)
• Independently design and develop automated SEO processes using modern AI tools (e.g., automated briefing creation)
• Establish and monitor automated sanity checks and technical crawls (e.g., Screaming Frog), deriving operational measures directly
• Conduct keyword and competitive research; ensure quality control (UX, structure, AI scannability) during website implementation
• Collaborate with global teams across locations to translate strategic requirements into operational briefs and leverage local market insights efficiently

What We're Looking For

• 2-5 years of relevant SEO experience (agency or in-house)
• Completed degree in Business Administration, Media Studies, Business Informatics, Marketing, or comparable qualification
• Proficiency with standard SEO tools (Search Console, Ahrefs, SISTRIX, Screaming Frog) and initial experience with automation via LLMs, n8n, Make, or Zapier
• Analytical thinking with a strong eye for UX; ability to identify complex relationships independently, convert them into action items, and strong intuition for user intent and content layouts
• Modern search mindset: you actively follow developments in LLMs and AI search
• Hands-on mentality: you proactively tackle projects, work solution-oriented, and maintain overview across multiple parallel tasks; particularly resilient to strategic change (AI movement)
• Fluent German and English; comfortable with international stakeholders and ability to explain complex SEO topics to non-experts. Additional languages are a plus
