Sr. Manager, Field Engineering Qatar&Africa

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential cloud data platform organization seeking a Senior Manager of Field Engineering to lead technical pre-sales teams across Qatar and Africa markets. In this role, you will:

• Lead, hire, and mentor a team of Solutions Architects and Solutions Engineers across the assigned territory
• Build a motivated, collaborative culture within a high-growth technical team
• Partner closely with sales leadership to drive revenue growth and optimize pre-sales engagement in complex sales cycles
• Ensure solution-based and value-focused selling approaches within the field engineering organization
• Engage directly with key customer executives to build and strengthen strategic partnerships
• Demonstrate understanding of customer needs and revenue potential for accounts in your region
• Align with partners and internal services teams to secure implementation strategies
• Contribute to regional leadership alongside Marketing and Sales teams to strengthen market presence

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing teams of successful Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS technical professionals
• Background in consumption-based business models
• Track record of mentoring and scaling technical teams in high-growth environments
• Success implementing processes that drive efficiency and product focus for technical field teams
• Strong ability to partner and collaborate with Sales and cross-functional leadership
• Deep passion for data and AI markets with ability to articulate strong points of view on platform value
• Technical or consulting background in Data Engineering, Database technologies, or Data Science
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and executive audiences
• Location: Paris (must be within commutable distance)
• Hybrid work model
