Manager Supply Chain Performance Improvement (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential consulting firm working with global industry leaders across manufacturing, automotive, life sciences, and chemical sectors. Our talent team is seeking an experienced Manager Supply Chain Performance Improvement to join their growing practice in Heidelberg, Germany.

This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact projects that drive measurable performance improvements across end-to-end supply chains, from strategic planning through operational execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic supply chain consulting projects from concept through implementation, including team leadership and stakeholder management across organizational levels
• Analyze supply chain performance metrics, identify improvement levers, and develop actionable solutions with quantified business impact
• Design and implement client-specific optimization initiatives such as inventory reduction programs, S&OP excellence, S&OE improvements, and cost reduction projects that deliver both short-term efficiency gains and sustainable performance improvements
• Develop comprehensive business cases that transparently quantify improvement measures by their effects on EBIT, costs, working capital, and revenue
• Contribute to business development through thought leadership, proposal creation, and active shaping of the service portfolio including methodologies and frameworks
• Facilitate and moderate management workshops with C-level executives
• Work cross-functionally with procurement, planning, production, logistics, sales, and finance teams

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in supply chain management
• Experience in strategy or management consulting is advantageous
• Proven track record leading and executing SCM projects covering strategy, operations, and technology
• Excellent analytical skills with strong ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable financial insights for senior management
• Confident presence when interacting with executives at all hierarchical levels
• Energy, team spirit, results orientation, and the drive to achieve visible impact collaboratively
• Willingness to travel, including occasional international assignments
• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Strong abstract thinking and conceptual abilities
