Account Executive – Japan

Our talent team is representing a confidential AI technology organization seeking an Account Executive to scale their operations in Japan. This is a high-impact role for a motivated sales professional who is passionate about transforming how businesses engage with customers through cutting-edge AI solutions.

In this position, you will build and manage a growing portfolio of accounts across multiple industries, driving revenue growth through proactive outreach and strategic partnership development.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of new accounts across diverse industries to achieve revenue targets
• Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities aligned with the organization's product capabilities
• Execute high-velocity outbound sales campaigns, moving efficiently from first contact to close
• Negotiate contracts and close sales in collaboration with internal growth teams
• Develop deep product knowledge and effectively communicate technical value propositions to customers
• Own sales KPI tracking and provide regular performance updates to leadership
• Map product features to customer use cases and industry-specific needs

What We're Looking For

• 5-7 years of sales experience in a SaaS environment with proven ability to meet and exceed targets
• Demonstrated success building and closing self-sourced pipeline
• Strong product intuition with ability to learn technical products quickly and articulate their value
• Proactive, agile operator who drives outbound activity rather than waiting for inbound leads
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels
• Customer-focused mentality that balances client satisfaction with scalable growth
• High fluency in Japanese and working proficiency in English
• Genuine curiosity about AI technology and its business applications
