Responsibilities
We are representing a leading digital education organization in Germany seeking a Public Affairs Manager to shape education policy and drive digital learning initiatives forward. In this role, you will:
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with political stakeholders, ministries, school authorities, and educational institutions across German federal states
- Represent our client at conferences, trade fairs, public events, and committee meetings within the education sector
- Monitor regulatory developments and create strategic recommendations for organizational decision-making
- Engage in direct sales of educational products to state governments, municipal school authorities, and public education institutions
- Negotiate product configurations and contract terms with public sector clients
- Develop position papers, briefings, and political communication materials for various stakeholders
- Serve as a public voice for our client through presentations and panel discussions
What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate brings:
- Substantial experience in public affairs, government relations, political communication, or comparable fields—ideally with connections to the digital education sector
- Knowledge of relevant education policy institutions and processes (KMK, federal and state education ministries, state school laws)
- Confidence and professionalism when engaging with political decision-makers and public institutions, plus understanding of their decision-making processes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex topics for diverse audiences
- Enthusiasm for networking and public speaking opportunities
- Willingness to travel within Germany approximately 1-2 times per month for trade shows and networking events
- Native-level German and solid English for internal communication

This is a remote position within Germany, 40 hours per week.
