Senior FP&A Analyst

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech client seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to join their finance team in the UK. Our client operates in the digital payments infrastructure space and is experiencing significant growth. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a well-funded organization at a pivotal moment, where you'll shape financial strategy and partner directly with senior leadership.

As Senior FP&A Analyst, you'll bridge the gap between financial insight and commercial execution, working closely with the Director of FP&A. You'll translate complex transaction-based business models into strategic recommendations that drive profitable growth and investment efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Build financial partnerships with stakeholders across go-to-market, operations, and product teams, becoming a trusted advisor on resource allocation and commercial strategy
• Drive insights from key metrics including GMV, take rate, CAC, LTV, NRR, and churn into actionable recommendations
• Support business case development for strategic initiatives such as pricing strategy, market expansion, and new product launches
• Partner with finance leadership to support board-level reporting and strategic narratives
• Evolve planning models to bridge financial targets with operational execution, enabling faster and better-informed strategic decisions
• Build and deliver management reporting and dashboards that deliver timely, focused, decision-oriented insights
• Develop deep expertise in transaction-based revenue models, bringing visibility to performance across customer segments and geographies
• Identify opportunities to optimize unit economics and improve capital efficiency
• Contribute to building a high-performing FP&A culture focused on clarity, ownership, and collaboration

What We're Looking For

• Commercially astute and strategically minded, with the ability to connect financial data to business outcomes and influence commercial strategy
• Exceptional business partner with established stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-finance audiences
• Strong technical foundation in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning
• Experience in SaaS, payments, or transaction-based business models strongly preferred
• Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity in fast-paced scale-up environments
• Detail-oriented with strong executive presence and the ability to present confidently to C-level stakeholders
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality work consistently and building long-term trust with business partners
• Interest in mentoring others and building capability across the team
• Proficiency with modern FP&A tools (experience with planning platforms is a plus)
