Account Director Wholesale & Service Integrators

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential telecommunications infrastructure provider seeking an Account Director to develop their wholesale and service integrator business across Germany. In this high-impact, customer-facing role, you will be responsible for both account management and new business development within the wholesale market.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Developing and growing strategic relationships with wholesale carriers and telecom resellers across Europe
• Identifying and winning new business opportunities, positioning high-capacity fibre infrastructure services to support customer growth
• Managing existing accounts to ensure strong customer satisfaction, revenue retention, and opportunity development
• Presenting network solutions including wavelengths, dark fibre, Ethernet, and IP transit to meet evolving customer needs
• Collaborating with internal teams including pre-sales, product, and network development to deliver tailored solutions
• Managing pipeline activity using Salesforce.com, ensuring accurate forecasting and data integrity
• Representing our client at relevant industry events and forums across Europe

What We're Looking For

• At least 8 years of proven experience in sales or pre-sales, preferably with wholesale carriers or service integrators
• Strong knowledge of the telecommunications market, particularly within the carrier and reseller ecosystem
• Demonstrated track record of growing accounts and securing new business in a competitive landscape
• Ability to understand and position technical network solutions to commercially savvy audiences
• Fluent in both German and English, with effective communication and presentation skills
• Self-starter mindset with proactive, results-driven approach and comfort working in a fast-moving, cross-border environment
• Willingness to undertake domestic and occasional international travel as required

Preferred locations include Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich, or Hanover.
