Expert Solution Architect, AI & Enterprise (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise consulting organization in the DACH region that specializes in AI-enabled business transformation. They are seeking an Expert Solution Architect, AI & Enterprise to own the full journey from client business problem to funded, executable architecture.

In this role, you will lead discovery with corporate clients, design solutions that span CRM, ERP, data platforms, custom software, and agentic AI, and defend your architectures in front of C-suite stakeholders. This is an expert individual contributor position—you will set the architecture standard for the practice without people management responsibilities.

The role is based in Böblingen, Germany with a hybrid model: two days per week in the office, the remainder remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and solution design for enterprise engagements, transforming ambiguous business challenges into signed target architectures across CRM, data, integrations, custom software, and AI agent systems
• Maintain ownership of architecture integrity through delivery, ensuring what you design in pre-sales is what gets built without major structural changes post-signature
• Scope six-figure engagements with realistic estimates, phasing that corporate procurement can approve, and transparently documented risks
• Develop reusable frameworks and toolkits for the consulting team: discovery processes, architecture decision templates, and practical AI-fit assessments
• Present and defend architectures to CIOs, CFOs, and business unit leaders in both German and English
• Create solution patterns that engineering and consulting teams can actually deploy—covering master data ownership, agent orchestration, data remediation strategies, and integration approaches
• Partner with technical engineering teams as the architecture counterpart, owning solution design while they handle technical blueprints and implementation

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 6+ years in consulting or solution architecture, with at least 2 years personally owning solution design for enterprise clients from discovery through contract signature
• Demonstrated track record of structuring complex business problems into architecture options, scope, and risk assessments, with work samples you can present
• Architecture-level expertise across at least one enterprise CRM platform, one ERP system, data platforms (warehouse, CDP, or MDM), and integration patterns (event-driven, API, iPaaS, or middleware)
• At least one AI or agentic solution you designed or delivered that ran in production, with concrete business outcomes and lessons learned you can discuss
• Experience leading strategic conversations with C-level executives, procurement, IT security, and business stakeholders in corporate environments, including delivering difficult recommendations backed by analysis
• Commercial judgment in scoping and estimating engagements, with accountability for estimate accuracy
• Full business fluency in both German and English, with the ability to present technical architecture to diverse audiences

Preferred qualifications:

• Enterprise CRM platform certifications or deep hands-on experience
• Direct experience designing solutions under EU AI Act and GDPR constraints in regulated industries such as manufacturing, financial services, or healthcare
• Background in industrial manufacturing, building products, or B2B distribution sectors
• Public speaking, writing, or teaching contributions on enterprise architecture or applied AI topics
