User Research UX Apprentice

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization seeking a User Research UX Apprentice in Bordeaux, France. Our client operates in the sustainable technology sector and is building a user research team dedicated to creating excellent customer experiences through qualitative and quantitative research methods.

This apprenticeship position requires enrollment in a French work-study program (contrat d'alternance/d'apprentissage) starting January 2027, ideally for 24 months (12 months negotiable).

Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative research to collect user insights and build actionable recommendations
• Launch quantitative studies to discover trends and validate hypotheses
• Collaborate with stakeholders, designers, product owners, and engineers to build robust customer experiences
• Listen to business problems and help craft research-informed action plans
• Work closely with product designers to ensure research recommendations have maximum impact
• Present research findings to company stakeholders and communicate the value of user research
• Contribute to the development and evolution of UX research processes, tools, and communications
• Support a user-centered culture in problem and solution definition across teams

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a French work-study program (contrat d'alternance/d'apprentissage)
• Fully professional English capability required; additional languages are a plus
• Experience or convincing knowledge of research best practices including qualitative and quantitative methods (usability testing, observational research, user interviews, surveys, card sorts, contextual inquiry)
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• E-commerce experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to translate research insights into valuable information for product and design teams
