Business Analyst Intern, Trade-In

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential e-commerce client in their search for a Business Analyst Intern to join their Trade-In operations team in Paris. This is a hands-on internship where you'll support strategic analysis and day-to-day operations using data to drive circularity performance, operational excellence, and business growth.

You'll work on extracting, modeling, and visualizing data while improving tools and dashboards that help the team understand performance drivers. This role offers strong exposure to business topics, operational processes, and automation initiatives—ideal for someone who wants to combine analytics with real business impact.

Responsibilities

Business & Data Analysis (80%)

• Support the team with data extraction, manipulation, analysis, modeling, and visualization
• Maintain, update, and improve performance tools including reports, trackers, dashboards, and alerting processes
• Monitor and analyze service performance based on key performance indicators on daily, weekly, and monthly cycles
• Challenge existing KPIs and tools, proposing improvements for tracking efficiency and accuracy
• Participate in root cause analyses to identify performance drivers and sustainable improvement opportunities
• Support ad hoc analyses to explore growth opportunities and profitability increases
• Assist in modeling project impact and ensuring processes are supported by clean, reliable data
• Maintain documentation about data access, key queries, methodologies, and training materials

Operations & Automation (20%)

• Support daily operational processes including alerts and incidents related to shipping, pricing, and risks
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate operational workflows
• Contribute to automation initiatives leveraging AI for reporting, analysis, and task automation

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or equivalent field with a specialization in data and analytics
• Based in Paris with ability to obtain an internship agreement from your French school
• Strong skills in data extraction, manipulation, analysis, modeling, and visualization
• Comfortable using SQL, Google Sheets, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools
• Strong mathematical skills with ability to build complex models
• Clear communicator able to make technical work accessible to non-technical audiences
• Autonomous with ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Hands-on problem solver comfortable diving into operational topics
• Strong team player with collaborative spirit
• 100% comfortable in spoken and written English

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with process automation tools such as Workato or AI agent creation
• Advanced SQL and Tableau experience in a business environment
• Experience with Google Analytics, Data Studio, or Amplitude
• Additional languages such as French, German, Spanish, or Italian

Internship Details:

• Starting date: January 2027
• Duration: 6 months
• Schedule: Full-time (35 hours/week)
• Location: Paris, France (hybrid work environment with 2 remote days per week)
• Contract type: Internship agreement from French school required

Pay
