Senior Digital Learning Experience Designer, Learning & Inclusion

About This Role

We are representing a confidential media technology organization seeking a Senior Digital Learning Experience Designer to join their global learning team. This is an opportunity to shape learning experiences at scale for a growing workforce, partnering with subject-matter experts and leadership on company-wide development initiatives.

You will lead end-to-end design of learning journeys across digital, live, and blended formats—from needs analysis and curriculum architecture through delivery and evaluation. Your work will combine instructional design expertise, visual storytelling, and inclusive design principles to create engaging, evidence-based learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete learning experience design cycles, including needs analysis, learning objectives development, curriculum architecture, content creation, launch, and evaluation
• Partner with stakeholders and subject-matter experts to identify performance needs and translate them into practical learning solutions
• Design learning journeys across multiple formats (eLearning, facilitated sessions, self-directed, blended) using cognitive science and adult learning principles
• Create interactive learning materials including eLearning modules, facilitator guides, participant resources, job aids, presentations, and micro-learning content
• Build digital learning experiences using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms, incorporating AI-assisted workflows where appropriate
• Apply visual design and UX principles to make complex concepts clear, memorable, and accessible
• Design inclusive learning experiences that reduce barriers to participation and reflect diverse perspectives
• Pilot, iterate, and refine learning experiences based on learner feedback, stakeholder input, and performance data
• Define success metrics and evaluate learning effectiveness, knowledge transfer, learner satisfaction, and behavior change
• Manage multiple concurrent learning projects with clear prioritization, timelines, and stakeholder communication
• Explore and apply emerging approaches in learning design, including AI-assisted authoring and adaptive learning technologies

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional instructional design experience with a portfolio demonstrating work across multiple learning formats
• Strong foundation in learning science principles including cognitive load theory, retrieval practice, spaced learning, and adult learning theory, with ability to apply them to practical design decisions
• Expertise in uncovering learning and performance needs, creating measurable objectives, and designing learning journeys that build knowledge and skills over time
• Ability to create meaningful practice opportunities through scenarios, simulations, assessments, and interactive experiences rather than passive content
• Strong visual and UX design judgment with understanding of typography, hierarchy, layout, and visual storytelling to enhance learning clarity and navigation
• Hands-on experience with rapid authoring tools (Articulate 360, Captivate, Lectora, or similar) and design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent)
• Ability to create clear storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, and supporting materials for consistent delivery by others
• Experience using learner feedback and data to evaluate effectiveness, iterate on designs, and connect learning to meaningful outcomes
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with subject-matter experts, leaders, and cross-functional partners
• Comfort navigating ambiguity, balancing multiple priorities, and taking ownership from concept through polished delivery
• Experience in areas such as inclusive learning design, leadership development, learning technology, short-form learning video or animation, LMS/LXP platforms, or SCORM/xAPI standards
• Degree in instructional design, learning sciences, education, human-computer interaction, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

Location: London (hybrid flexibility with some in-person meetings required)
