Manager, Financial Reporting – Construction Clients

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential professional services organization seeking a Manager of Financial Reporting with deep construction industry expertise. This is a remote position available anywhere in the United States, offering the opportunity to lead financial reporting engagements while developing high-performing teams.

Our client serves construction clients nationwide, delivering sophisticated accounting and advisory services. This role combines hands-on technical work with team leadership and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Review and deliver financial reports and key performance indicators for construction clients
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow modeling
• Provide technical accounting guidance to clients and internal engagement teams
• Develop and coach staff and senior accountants on construction accounting principles
• Collaborate with advisory teams and external partners to deliver comprehensive solutions
• Identify opportunities to expand service offerings in collaboration with advisory teams
• Assist with onboarding new clients, including system setup and process documentation
• Monitor team performance metrics and implement process improvements
• Support the integration of new technology platforms and train team members on system enhancements

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
• 4–6 years of experience in public or private accounting, preferably within the construction industry
• Proven experience leading teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of construction accounting concepts, including job costing, work-in-progress, and project-based financial management
• Experience working with clients and cross-functional partners, with strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct, and the ability to adopt new technologies
• CPA or similar certification preferred
• Ability to travel up to 10%
