About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a working student to support their NPL & Partner Management operations. This role offers hands-on experience in debt portfolio management, partner coordination, and process controls within a dynamic financial services environment.
You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure reliable, data-driven processes around receivables management and partner relationships. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical insight into how financial operations, process documentation, and partner governance work together in practice.
Location: Remote within Germany / Düsseldorf (one office day per week required)
Employment Type: Working Student (Werkstudent)
Responsibilities
- Support monitoring of ongoing NPL and partner processes, including monthly internal control system checks with documentation in internal systems
- Process payments into internal collection software, conduct reconciliations and control checks, and prepare payment reports
- Execute predefined SQL checks, make minor adjustments as needed, and create data exports including CSV files with duplicate, intersection, and plausibility checks
- Assist with preparation and operational execution of receivables sales to debt collection agencies, handle defined special cases, support process and data transfers, and document activities in the ticket system
- Coordinate with the partner bank, collection agencies, and internal IT teams to resolve questions and consistently follow up on open items
- Prepare collection agency statistics and support their presentation
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics, or comparable field
- Initial practical experience working with data, reports, or operational processes through internships, working student positions, or vocational training; ideally some SQL knowledge
- Structured, careful, and reliable working style with ability to handle tasks independently
- Affinity for numbers, tables, and lists with strong understanding of reconciliations and plausibility checks
- Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel, with ability to quickly learn new systems
- Clear communication skills and ability to prepare topics in an organized manner for various stakeholders
- Very good German language skills and good English proficiency, both written and spoken
