About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential aerospace technology company based in Wessling, Bayern, Germany. Our client develops advanced unmanned aerial systems and needs a talented engineer to build the cloud infrastructure and data pipelines that make flight operations visible, accessible, and actionable.

Every flight generates critical data. You'll create the backend services, APIs, and data workflows that connect field devices, engineering teams, and operational systems into a cohesive platform.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a central source of truth for device identity, software versions, configurations, and fleet health monitoring
  • Develop secure backend services and APIs that connect field hardware with support and engineering systems
  • Create resilient communication workflows designed for devices operating with intermittent connectivity in remote environments
  • Automate the upload and processing of flight logs, telemetry, video feeds, and sensor data streams
  • Build data pipelines, dashboards, and alerting systems that help engineering teams identify and resolve issues quickly
  • Connect operational flight data with the software versions, hardware configurations, and mission context that produced it

What We're Looking For

You don't need to check every box. Our talent team is looking for strong fundamentals, hands-on capability, and genuine ownership.

  • Experience in cloud engineering, backend development, data platforms, IoT systems, or distributed systems
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Java, TypeScript, or comparable languages
  • Hands-on experience with APIs, databases, object storage, message queues, or data pipeline architectures
  • Familiarity with telemetry systems, observability tools, monitoring platforms, or connected-device ecosystems
  • The ability to turn incomplete information into reliable services and deliver fast operational insights
