Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential B2B technology platform operating across Europe. As Regional Sales Director, you will lead a field sales team of eight professionals across the greater Munich area, combining strategic leadership with hands-on sales execution.

In this role, you will:

  • Build and scale the regional field sales team while establishing a performance-driven culture where each team member owns their targets
  • Develop a hybrid sales strategy that combines digital tools with personal customer relationships
  • Implement clearly structured sales processes with defined roles and accountabilities
  • Execute regional growth objectives and lead strategic key account negotiations through to close
  • Drive sales performance using data, KPIs, forecasts, and AI-based lead prioritization
  • Identify optimization opportunities throughout the customer journey to improve productivity, efficiency, and satisfaction
  • Present results through KPI dashboards and business reviews at leadership level

Your time will split approximately 60% client-facing meetings and 40% home office initially, moving toward 50/50 long-term. You will operate independently across southern Germany with regular travel throughout the region.

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of leadership experience managing a sales team of six or more people
  • Proven field sales experience in both new business acquisition (hunting) and account development (farming)
  • Track record selling complex, consultative products that require strong argumentation—and the ability to transfer this knowledge to your team
  • Experience building teams and coaching performance with operational involvement in day-to-day business
  • Strong command of KPIs, forecasting, and data-driven sales management; comfortable with Salesforce, Google Workspace, Looker, or Tableau
  • German at C2 level; English at B2 or higher for executive team collaboration

Preferred background:

  • Understanding of scalable sales models in digital environments, ideally within start-up, SaaS, or platform businesses
  • Hands-on experience not just using but actively shaping AI-supported sales processes
