Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential AI technology organization seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their Research, Analytics & Data Science team in London. In this role, you will:

• Partner with product teams to identify critical questions and answer them through rigorous data analysis
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to develop key product success metrics, set targets, measure results and outcomes, and size opportunities
• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, collaborating with stakeholders to drive collection of new data and refinement of existing data sources and tables
• Partner with product researchers to build holistic understanding of customers, products, and business performance
• Influence product roadmap and strategy through exploratory analysis and quantitative research
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis, coding, and insight generation
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows and reduce time spent on repetitive tasks
• Build scalable data products including dashboards, models, and internal tools that enable stakeholders to self-serve insights
• Help teams interact more directly with data through better abstractions, semantic layers, or AI-powered interfaces
• Share patterns, workflows, and best practices for AI usage within the analytics team
• Craft clear, compelling data stories and communicate recommendations across R&D and the broader company
• Contribute to and shape core team foundations, improving operational excellence

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working with data to solve problems and drive evidence-based decisions
• Strong SQL skills and solid grounding in statistics
• Experience working closely with product teams
• Proven track record of delivering actionable insights that drive measurable impact with minimal supervision
• Strong product intuition, business acumen, and ability to connect analysis to strategy
• Excellent communication skills (technical and non-technical), with a focus on driving decisions and outcomes
• Strong ownership, curiosity, and growth mindset
• Experience with a scientific computing language such as Python
• Ability to effectively use AI tools to accelerate and improve your work
• A mindset of automation and leverage - looking for ways to scale impact beyond one-off analyses
• Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments where tools and workflows are rapidly changing

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience with data modeling and ETL pipelines, especially dbt
• Experience building internal tools, data products, or self-serve analytics capabilities
• Experience leveraging AI across the data workflow - from ideation and coding to analysis and communication
