Your day-to-day will include:

  • Developing technical plans and contributing to technical architecture as the platform scales to serve millions of users daily
  • Writing Ruby code that integrates AWS infrastructure, platform technologies, and SaaS solutions to power core backend systems
  • Shipping production changes quickly—you'll deploy to production on your first day and ship a feature in your first week, joining a team that averages 100+ deployments each weekday
  • Building with industry-leading AI-powered developer tools that remove friction and allow you to focus on meaningful problem-solving
  • Growing team capacity through mentoring engineers and participating in candidate interviews
  • Tackling exciting scaling challenges across areas such as rule matching, deliverability, security, app availability, and machine learning applications

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of industry experience in a software engineering role, preferably building a SaaS product, with demonstrated significant impact on product and team outcomes
  • Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language such as Ruby, Python, or JavaScript (if you don't know our stack, we believe great engineers learn quickly)
  • Experience collaborating directly with product teams and designers, with a proven track record of delivering value to customers or users
  • Experience with distributed systems
  • Pragmatic engineering approach and comfort working on cross-disciplinary teams
