Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential AI-powered customer experience platform seeking a Staff or Principal Product Designer to join their London team. In this hands-on role, you will:

  • Own end-to-end design for high-impact product areas from concept to execution
  • Define new interaction patterns and design paradigms for AI-powered automation tools
  • Sketch, prototype, and test ideas at different fidelities to validate decisions
  • Work closely with engineers and product managers to define problems, move quickly, and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Maintain high standards of craft while balancing speed and execution
  • Contribute to design culture by mentoring others, pushing for excellence, refining processes, and sharing knowledge

This is a maker role, not a strategy-only or people-management position. Our client needs a craft specialist who will raise the quality bar, bring creative spark, and drive best-in-class interaction and visual design across strategic product areas.

What We're Looking For

Our talent team is seeking a world-class individual contributor designer who brings:

  • Proven experience shipping complex, high-quality software products
  • Expertise designing for multiple surfaces including desktop, mobile, chat interfaces, and AI-first experiences
  • The ability to balance speed and detail, knowing when to move fast and when to obsess over the last 1%
  • End-to-end thinking from big-picture systems design to the smallest interaction detail
  • Technical understanding with ability to build prototypes using tools like Framer, Figma, or code
  • Exceptional taste and understanding of what great design looks and feels like
  • Strong storytelling skills to articulate design decisions with clarity and conviction
  • Agency, ownership, and autonomy—you don't wait to be told what to do

This role is not for you if: You prefer strategy or research over execution; you need structured processes and heavy direction; you don't obsess over details; or you primarily work on marketing sites rather than deep functional software experiences.
