Team Lead Managed Services (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential IT services organization in Germany that specializes in supporting public sector clients. Our talent team is seeking an experienced Team Lead for Managed Services to provide strategic leadership for an on-site support team serving a key client in Bad Soden.

This is a full-time, permanent position available immediately. The role requires strong leadership skills, ITIL 4 expertise, and fluency in German (C1/C2 or native level).

Responsibilities

• Provide disciplinary and technical leadership for a motivated support team of approximately 10+ staff members across 1st and 2nd level support
• Foster a collaborative, solution-oriented work environment with a people-first leadership approach
• Manage scheduling and resource planning for remote and on-site deployments to ensure seamless customer service coverage
• Oversee and control support operations according to ITIL 4 standards while monitoring budgets, cost efficiency, and contracted support hours
• Serve as primary point of contact for operational client matters, conduct regular service reviews, and confidently resolve critical escalations
• Drive targeted professional development and certification programs for team members
• Manage external service providers and oversee their time reporting processes

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in IT support or managed services within an IT systems house environment
• Leadership: Demonstrated disciplinary or intensive technical leadership of teams (10+ people) with a cooperative, supportive leadership style
• ITIL 4 Certification: Mandatory certification with practical, hands-on knowledge of ITIL 4 processes
• Technical expertise: Deep understanding of customer infrastructures including networks, Windows infrastructure (permissions, updates), and Mobile Device Management (MDM); basic IT rollout knowledge is a plus
• Language: Excellent German language skills (minimum C1/C2 or native speaker) for professional communication with clients and team members
• Personal qualities: Strong organizational talent, resilience in escalation situations, and business-minded thinking
