About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential software consultancy based in Darmstadt, Germany. Our talent team is seeking an IT Monitoring & AIOps Engineer to support enterprise clients with event and alarm management solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work with specialized monitoring platforms and contribute to AI-driven operations transformations.
Responsibilities
- Guide clients through implementation, configuration, and operation of IT monitoring solutions, centralized event and alarm management systems, and automation platforms
- Support enterprise monitoring tool deployments and assist clients with migrations to AI-based successor products
- Analyze complex technical issues systematically, identify root causes, and develop sustainable solutions independently or collaboratively
- Take ownership of client relationships after onboarding, propose technical solutions, and contribute innovative ideas to customer engagements
- Collaborate within a team environment, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues on technical challenges
- Continuously develop technical expertise and pursue relevant certifications in enterprise IT operations
What We're Looking For
- Completed IT education or degree with several years of practical experience monitoring and operating IT environments (on-premises, cloud, or hybrid)
- Strong familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems plus fundamental networking concepts
- Solid experience with monitoring solutions, understanding when different approaches are appropriate, and knowledge of integration patterns via REST APIs or SNMP
- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Ansible and scripting languages such as Bash
- Confident working with Kubernetes and understanding its role in modern container-based infrastructure operations
- Ability to evaluate existing solutions critically, assess alternatives, and develop well-reasoned recommendations for clients
- Solution-oriented mindset with curiosity for technical challenges and desire to design systems, not just operate them
- Excellent communication skills in German (minimum C1 level) and English, with ability to explain complex technical topics clearly
- Experience with enterprise monitoring platforms or comparable solutions is advantageous; ability to learn new technologies quickly is essential
- RedHat OpenShift experience is a plus
