AI Application Engineer – LangGraph & Agentic AI

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking an AI Application Engineer to design and build intelligent applications powered by LLMs, LangGraph, and agentic AI technologies. In this role, you will transform business requirements into AI applications capable of reasoning through tasks, retrieving information, interacting with tools and enterprise systems, and completing business processes with appropriate human oversight.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing AI applications using LangGraph and LLM technologies to execute complex, multi-step business processes
• Building stateful workflows incorporating reasoning, tool usage, validation, approvals, and exception handling in both single-agent and multi-agent architectures
• Integrating LLMs into production applications with appropriate prompt strategies, structured outputs, tool calling, and context-management approaches
• Implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions that connect AI applications to enterprise documents, databases, APIs, and knowledge repositories
• Analyzing business processes and designing AI workflows that combine LLM reasoning with deterministic business logic
• Developing evaluation frameworks covering accuracy, task completion, reliability, latency, and cost with automated testing for prompts, agents, and end-to-end workflows
• Deploying and operating AI applications in cloud and enterprise environments with monitoring, logging, tracing, and performance management
• Collaborating with product managers, business analysts, software engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to identify valuable use cases for agentic AI

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Commercial experience developing AI/LLM applications
• Hands-on experience with LangGraph and agentic workflow development
• Strong Python development experience
• Experience deploying AI applications into production environments
• Strong understanding of LLMs, RAG, tool calling, structured outputs, and prompt engineering
• Experience integrating AI applications with APIs, databases, enterprise systems, or SaaS platforms
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with AI evaluation, monitoring, and observability
