Newly Barred Associate Attorney, Workers’ Compensation (Remote – Fresno,CA)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential California law firm specializing in workers' compensation defense. Our client is seeking a newly barred Associate Attorney to join their growing practice. This is a remote position based in Fresno, CA, ideal for attorneys who passed the California Bar in February 2025 or will sit for the February 2026 exam.

This role offers substantial support from senior attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff as you build your litigation practice. You will manage your own caseload while receiving mentorship and guidance in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of workers' compensation cases through resolution
• Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions on their behalf
• Handle deposition invoicing and administrative follow-up
• Respond to client inquiries requiring attorney-level negotiation and case strategy
• Maintain responsiveness to emails and phone calls in a fast-paced environment
• Provide direction and guidance to paralegals and support staff on case matters
• Collaborate with team members and participate in firm culture-building activities
• Communicate feedback to leadership to improve client service delivery

What We're Looking For

• Active California State Bar membership in good standing (or expected admission after February 2026 exam)
• Must reside in California
• Comfort working in fast-paced legal environments with multiple competing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Doctors' deposition experience is preferred but not required
• Positive attitude and willingness to lead by example
• Team-oriented mindset with commitment to collaborative success

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $110,000 - $130,000 per year.
