About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential precision medicine organization focused on transplant patient care. Our talent team is seeking a Clinical Trial Manager to provide operational leadership for clinical research studies from start-up through final reporting. This role drives study deliverables, ensures data quality and regulatory compliance, and manages cross-functional execution of clinical trials.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of clinical trials including site identification, study start-up, conduct, monitoring, and closeout with full accountability for timelines, budget, and metrics
  • Drive site activation, enrollment, and overall study performance while ensuring alignment with protocols and operational plans
  • Proactively identify study risks related to timeline, quality, and operations; lead mitigation planning and escalate issues with clear action plans
  • Provide cross-functional leadership across Clinical Operations, Data Management, Medical Affairs, and other functional areas as the central point of coordination
  • Oversee Clinical Research Associates, CROs, central labs, and external vendors to ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective deliverables through established KPIs and performance management
  • Champion operational excellence by standardizing study execution models, optimizing vendor management frameworks, and implementing scalable process improvements and SOPs
  • Ensure data quality and inspection readiness through proactive data review, performance metric tracking, and collaboration with monitoring and data management teams
  • Maintain strong communication with clinical sites and stakeholders, including oversight of site visits, study documentation, and reporting while ensuring GCP and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure high-quality, inspection-ready documentation through effective use of eTMF, including oversight of completeness, document quality, and real-time study status reporting
  • Provide oversight and operational support for CTMS system to track study milestones, enrollment, monitoring activities, and performance metrics
  • Directly manage and develop clinical operations personnel
  • Prepare and present project debriefings to management and cross-functional teams

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, health sciences, or equivalent degree/experience (RN or pharmaceutical experience preferred)
  • Minimum 4 years of clinical trial management experience
  • Minimum 2+ years as a clinical research associate with on-site/remote clinical monitoring experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or CRO industry
  • Minimum 2 years directly managing, coaching, and developing clinical operations professionals including workload management, performance development, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Robust understanding of ICH/GCP and knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with medical laboratory testing and documentation of patient information
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and GCP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic data capture software (Medrio, Medidata), eTMF platforms, CTMS, and safety reporting systems

  • Travel: 10-30%
