Senior Project Manager (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital solutions organization seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Köln. Our client delivers impactful technology projects across public and private sectors, working with interdisciplinary teams to create solutions that serve society.

This role offers the opportunity to lead significant digital transformation initiatives while working flexibly across Germany. You'll guide projects from conception through delivery, working with diverse technologies and stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale IT projects using agile, classical, or hybrid methodologies
• Serve as Product Owner in agile project setups, translating client requirements into technical solutions
• Manage projects across diverse technology environments including CMS, forms management systems, low-code platforms, custom applications, workplace, and cloud solutions
• Provide strategic consultation on digital transformation throughout entire project lifecycles
• Oversee interdisciplinary project teams and manage interfaces between multiple stakeholders
• Design and facilitate client workshops, developing strategies for efficient digital solution implementation
• Identify optimization opportunities in internal and external collaboration, develop targeted recommendations, and proactively shape change processes
• Advance methodology toolsets and provide guidance to project management colleagues

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience managing IT projects with demonstrated project leadership capabilities
• Strong command of agile or classical project management methodologies
• Project management certification preferred (PMI/PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, Scrum PSPO/PSM, LeSS, or SAFe Agilist)
• Enthusiasm for complex technical challenges and understanding of client needs
• Awareness of business development opportunities emerging from client relationships
• Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels, with ability to convey complex topics clearly to varied audiences
• University degree
• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
• Experience with websites, intranets, apps, digital application systems, or custom business applications
